Astghik Martirosyan
Astghik Martirosyan presents her debut album Distance at Joe's Pub, a musical journey released in the fall of 2023. Drawing on influences from Eastern European poetry and Armenian folk songs, intertwined with elements of classical, jazz, and improvisational music, Martirosyan's compositions delve into the intricate relationship between self, nation, and the passage of time. In addition to performing tracks from Distance, this concert will debut new compositions inspired by the profound interconnectedness of the natural and inner worlds, echoing the deeply rooted tradition of honoring the land present in Armenian folk music.
