The Dramatic Writer’s Journey—New York University and The Public Theater
N.Y.U. Tisch School of the Arts Dean Mary Schmidt Campbell and Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis engaged in conversation about the nature of playwright training in both academic and cultural settings, as well as Mr. Eustis’s vision for The Public’s future.
Joining them to talk about their personal experiences training at the Tisch School and developing their work in New York theaters were award-winning playwrights and screenwriters Anton Dudley (Slag Heap), Neil LaBute ( This Is How It Goes, George C. Wolfe (former producer of The Public Theater and author of The Colored Museum, and Harlem Song), and Thulani Davis (Everybody's Ruby).
