This is How it Goes
Written by Neil LaButeDirected by George C. Wolfe
In This Is How It Goes, Neil LaBute turns his savage observer's eye to small town America, where an interracial love triangle sets off a fierce drama of manipulation, exploitation, infidelity, and passion. This searing look at prejudice and identity was George C. Wolfe's last production as Producer at The Public Theater.
Cody, once the star of the high school track team, has become a successful businessman while his wife Belinda, a former cheerleader, stays at home with the baby. When a high school acquaintance returns to town and rents the room over their garage, he upsets the delicate balance of their relationship, raising questions about who they want to be, who they are, and what made them that way.
Jeffrey Wright received a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor for his performance.
