A SPECIAL EVENT FOR STUDENTS
Join us for Summer Shake Up: a special event for students 7th grade and up!
Experience the backstage workings of a major American theater company and participate in an exciting dramatic encounter with Shakespeare led by The Public’s teaching artists. Geared for students ages 12 and up, participants will investigate Shakespeare’s text through games and improvisations and even have the opportunity to perform in the world famous Delacorte Theater!
Individuals, groups and classes are welcome to register for this special one-day event. Summer Shake Up is FREE, and is open to students in New York City. The event takes place Friday, August 15, 2008 from 9:30-12PM. Registration begins at 9:00AM.
Please arrive at The Delacorte Theater on August 15 in Central Park and check in at Gate 1, following the entrance from 81st street and Central Park West, between 9-9:30AM at the information tables. Please dress comfortably with appropriate shoes.
Summer Shake Up Shakespeare workshops take place from 9:30-12pm in the Delacorte Theater. Parents and guardians are welcome to take part of the workshop.

DIRECTIONS TO THE DELACORTE THEATER
Take the 6 train to 77th Street. Entrance to Central Park is at 79th Street and Fifth Avenue. Follow the footpath to the Delacorte Theater.
Take the B or C train to 81st Street. Entrance to Central Park is at 81st Street and Central Park West. Follow footpath to the Delacorte Theater.
Take the 1 train to 59th Street, switch to the B or C trains, to 81st Street. Entrance to Central Park is at 81st Street and Central Park West. Follow footpath to Delacorte Theater.
