Exterior Renovation
RENOVATION OF THE EXTERIOR
- Complete façade restoration - Repairing and restoring the brownstone façade.
- Creation of new exterior terraced steps and canopy - The exterior entrance stairway will be covered by a glass canopy to protect audiences entering and exiting the building. These steps will be accommodated by a curb bump-out and provide an outdoor gathering place for the community to enjoy. Creating an exterior stair will add 456 square feet to our usable Lobby space, an increase of 25%.
- 2 new ADA-accessible entrance ramps - These ADA-accessible ramps will greatly improve access and safety.
- Improved street visibility including exterior signage and façade lighting - 6 new poster boxes will be added on Lafayette Street to provide information about programming. Exterior lighting will be used to highlight the architecture and increase visibility.
