WE’RE SCARED, WE’RE DAZZLED, WE’RE HOOKED. Steven Soderbergh brings a master’s skill to his maiden outing on the New York Stage.”
- The New York Times

“Chloë Grace Moretz is RADIANT and DELICATELY POWERFUL.”
- Newsday

“Scott Z. Burns delivers a SMART and PROBING drama with an AGGRESSIVE CALMNESS. You'll leave The Library angry for all the right reasons.”
- TheaterMania

“Scott Z. Burns has written a COMPELLING piece of theater, commenting on rumors, the media and the importance of getting there first. Jennifer Westfeldt and Michael O'Keefe are excellent.”
- Metro

- Entertainment Weekly

“One of THE MOST CULTURALLY RELEVANT, provocative and unapologetically unsettling dramas of the season.”

Academy Award-winning director Steven Soderbergh (Traffic, Erin Brockovich, Ocean’s Eleven), returns to the stage to direct THE LIBRARY, an arresting new play by acclaimed writer Scott Z. Burns (Side Effects, Contagion, The Bourne Ultimatum), and featuring Chloë Grace Moretz (Hugo, Carrie, "30 Rock").

After Caitlin Gabriel (Chloë Grace Moretz) survives a deadly shooting at her high school, she struggles to tell her story to her parents, the authorities and anyone who will listen. But there are other narratives that gain purchase in the media and paint her in a different light. Steven Soderbergh returns to the stage with this bold and chilling world premiere that asks us to examine our relationship to the truth and the lies that claim to heal us.
