Legendary composer and jazz musician David Amram and his Quintet (Kevin Twigg - drums; Rene Hart - bass; Adam Amram - congas; Eliot Peper - percussion) perform original and American classics, and accompany Academy Award nominated actor Michael Shannon (Boardwalk Empire, Man of Steel, Revolutionary Road), John Ventimiglia (The Sopranos), Bowery Poetry Club founder Bob Holman, NY Mets Poet Frank Messina, and rock legend Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), as they recite the works of Jack Kerouac. Special musical guest: saxophonist Erik Lawrence. Keynote speaker: author/journalist and Kerouac Project co-founder Bob Kealing. Proceeds support the Jack Kerouac Writer-in-Residence Project of Orlando, Florida, home to nearly 60 writers since 2000.
