Ahn Trio, Juilliard-trained Korean-American sisters known for their innovative approach to modern classical music, releases their 9th album Blue. The Ahn Trio, dubbed "Classical Revolutionaries" by New York Newsday, pianist Lucia, violinist Angella and cellist Maria, are excited to be back at Joe's Pub to showcase their musical diary. Snapshots of their musical journey include hanging out with Prince at Paisley Park and playing “Purple Rain,” working with Pat Metheny who worte “Yuryung” for the trio, performing “Skylife” at President Obama’s White House and performing at TEDWomen and meeting extraordinary female leaders from around the world, collaborating with Juilliard classmate Kenji Bunch. Also adding new musical pictures to their album: a collaboration with Hyung-ki Joo of Igudesman & Joo, and a D.D. Jackson arrangement of Jimi Hendrix’ “Little Wing.” Come celebrate with Ahn Trio!
