Nathaniel Bellows is a widely published poet, novelist, visual artist, and musician. His first album, The Old Illusions, was called” intimate, earnest… full of imaginative vibrance” by Indie Music and The Agit Reader pronounced: “There’s a wild delight in the sensual quality of language [in the songs]… there isn’t a wasted note, inflection, or moment.” Bellows is the author of the poetry collection Why Speak? (W.W. Norton), and the novels On This Day (HarperCollins) and Nan: A Novel in Stories (Harmon Blunt). His writing—poetry, fiction, nonfiction—has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times Book Review, The Paris Review, The New Republic, The Best American Short Stories, and many other magazines, periodicals, and websites. His new album, Swan and Wolf—ten songs accompanied by ten original illustrations—will be released on March 30th, 2018.
