CHE APALACHE from Buenos Aires plays Latingrass, an intriguing mix of Bluegrass and South American music. Led by a charismatic emigre fiddler from North Carolina, with Argentines on mandolin and guitar, and a banjo player from Mexico, Che Apalache sings and speaks in both English and Spanish. Their concerts include everything from complex Latin rhythms to a cappella Southern gospel songs.
“And now for something completely different? This blend of Appalachian and Latin music took me completely off guard and won me over instantly, This is a band to watch!”
