Jim Andralis: Your Dying Wish Come True Release Show

March 30

Joe's Pub

Doors at 9:00PM
Show at 9:30PM

Jim Andralis wrote, sang and played the accordion in the early-to-mid aughts downtown NYC band The Isotoners, a gay post-punk cult sensation.  He later established himself as a featured player among a dazzling roster of performers at the acclaimed Joe’s Pub monthly variety show Our Hit Parade from 2008 through 2012.  He also recently recorded a duet with his buddy Bridget Everett called “Hit the Ground Fuckin’.”

He returns to Joe’s Pub to celebrate the release of his debut album, Your Dying Wish Come True, with a full band and guest vocalists Clint Asay (Clint Michigan), Amy Bezunartea, Janet Kennedy, Larry Krone (artist/entertainer, House of Larrėon, husband) and Erin Markey (A Ride on the Irish Cream).

Andralis wrote Your Dying Wish Come True during a period of several sudden and not-so-sudden personal tragedies. The album’s nine original compositions and one cover grapple with the fears and uncertainties faced by everybody – the absence of loved ones, the absurdity of daily existence, the search for meaning – and through the very act of songwriting make a case for solace.
