Health & Safety Policy Update

We are excited to welcome you back to The Delacorte Theater for our 60th Anniversary Season of Free Shakespeare in the Park. We ask that you read and understand the following when accessing tickets.

  • Effective April 19, 2022, The Public requires proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination to enter The Delacorte and attend performances. This policy will continue until further notice.
  • Complete vaccination is fourteen days following a final dose of the Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, or Astra-Zeneca vaccine.
  • We will accept proof of vaccination via Excelsior Pass, the NYC Covid Safe Pass, a copy or photo of your CDC vaccination card, and/or a copy or photo of an official immunization record from outside the United States.
  • Face masks are encouraged, but not required while attending performances at The Delacorte.
  • Public Theater staff and artists are subject to a mandatory vaccination and booster policy.
  • All policies are subject to change at The Public’s sole discretion and without notice.
  • Those that do not abide by any health and safety protocols will be denied entry or removed from the facility.

  • All performances in Joe’s Pub do not require a face mask because food and drink are available throughout the show. A face mask is strongly encourage when not actively eating or drinking.

We are proud to announce that this year's Gala will be chaired by the long-standing culinary partners from Joe's Pub & NoHo Hospitality: Kevin Abbott, Serge Becker, Andrew Carmellini, Luke Ostrom, Josh Pickard, & Paul Salmon.

Join us for cocktails, dinner, and an evening of performances in the Pub to celebrate the past 25 years! Enjoy performances by four-time Grammy Award winner and 2024 Vanguard Resident, Angélique Kidjo; members of the 2023-2024 Joe's Pub Working Group, Queen Esther, Ellen Winter, and Firas Zreik; and New York Voices Alumni, Omar Offendum and Vuyo Sotashe & Chris Pattishall.

Bid today on some of the exciting, one-of-a-kind packages in the Joe's Pub Gala Silent Auction at the link HERE! Proceeds support year-round programming and artist development programs. The auction closes on Tuesday, April 9 at 4:00PM. Please note you do not have to be in attendance at the Gala to bid on your favorite item.

Since 1998, Joe's Pub has been a home for artists at all levels of development—from early-career artists to those at a critical stage in their careers (like the members of the Joe's Pub Working Group) to international superstars like Alicia Keys and Adele. Join us to celebrate our beloved Joe's Pub on Monday, April 8 and enjoy performances from the next generation of Joe’s Pub artists throughout the evening. 

Our ticket options are only partially deductible as goods and/or services will be extended to the purchaser(s). Donor-advised funds (DAF) cannot be used as payment — either partially or wholly — for any event tables/tickets/auction items that confer goods and/or services with substantial value. You may, however, still support our event through a DAF by recommending a fully deductible contribution.
